Desparately in need of a patch

Three days in a row I have had friends online that want to play Call of Duty 4 with me. 3 days in a row I tried to joined their parties. 3 days in a row I have gotten the "unable to connect to host" error.
Personally i have had just about enough of this. What is the point in playing online if you can't even play with people you like. Infinity ward better hurry the hell up with this patch because everyday I am wanting less and less to play this game.
P.S. thanks for all the invites tonight guys, i really would have liked to play, but I guess I'll have to wait until a company that has sold millions of copies decides its a good idea to pay someone to work out the bugs in their matchmaking system. What was the beta for again?
