Gearheads of War

Guys, in case you didn't listen to 1up Yours this week, and really, who could blame you with Gears 2 in all of our hands at this point, you really should go do it right now.  Why?  Well, Gearheads of War is featured very prominently for one thing.  Machete's impressions of Gears 2 are actually read out loud.   It's weird to hear that happen on the podcast that brought me into video game podcasting in the first place.

The second reason is because fellow Gearhead David Ellis is now a regular member of 1up Yours.  I can't think of anyone who deserves it more than David.  He's intelligent, thoughtful and even-handed when it comes to judging games.  And on top of it all, he's pretty freaking entertaining.  Congratulations, David!  You've earned it, man.

This week's 1UP Yours is a must listen for a couple reasons: First, there is great discussion about Fallout 3, Fable 2, the new Dashboard and more...They do a Fallout vs Fable discussion that goes a surprising direction (at least to me) and gives listeners insight to how each game plays.

And if that didn't get you to download the podcast, this should- When talking about the recent news that Gears 2 will not be coming to Japan (directly), David tells the story of Suns not being able to find Gears 2 in any catalogs or advertisements. Not only does David discuss the story, but mentions us directly and gives us some love over the air.
