In spite of having less than a day to prep and post, the GearHeads came to party by posting their best pics from Gears 2! We were able to pass everyone who submitted a screenshot into the final round...See them all and vote below!
Oh, and posting your thoughts on the pics just may get you a prize...!
The top 3 screens will get to play the longest with the infamous N'Gai Croal while the bottom 3 will get an hour. Either way, GearHeads win!

Today marks a new day for GearHeadsofWar. As a part of our continuous efforts to make this community a better place, we are officially launching Game with Fame- Your chance to play with celebrities from around the gaming spectrum. This won’t happen every week or necessarily every month, but when we can we will be giving you the opportunity to play with gaming fame.
Our first guest? None other than our friend of the site and Senior Technology writer at Newsweek, N'Gai Croal. Though his success at Newsweek has been widespread, what has captured our attention is his work on the video game blog, Level Up. We will have more about N'Gai and the blog later this week!
How to win...
Starting RIGHT NOW, you can submit your best Gears 2 screen shot by posting it as a comment in this story. To do this,
*Go to gearsofwar.com and click on "My Photos".
*Go to "My Gallery" pick your photo of choice.
*Next, click the "Share" option under the photo.
*Copy the "Link to Page" HTML and paste it here as a comment.
Doing this will verify that you took the picture and create a way for GearHeads to see it. If you like, you can post the actual picture within the comment as well, just be sure to have the link to gearsofwar.com as well to verify you took the picture and make sure your pic isn't too big.
Submission will be accepted until tomorrow at 11 AM PST. Early evening, finalists will have been picked and the community will be able to vote on their favorite picture.

Game With Fame...GearHeads Style!

Heads up, GearHeads!
Tomorrow we will be announcing a brand new event here on the site... As the title hints, this event will give our wonderful community a chance to play Gears of War 2 with "fame." What kind of fame, you ask? Well, the first celebrity is a good friend of the site and has appeared on our podcast... That’s the only clue you'll get! An announcement with the name of the guest will be posted either late tonight or early tomorrow so stay tuned for that!
Now for the details of how to win... Another appropriate title might have been: "Finally! A Screenshot Contest!" Here are the details:
What: Gears 2 screenshot contest; 1 screenshot per GearHead
When: Submissions begin with the post where we announce the first guest and end Wednesday morning at 7 AM CST. Finalists will be picked and then the community will vote on 3 winners which will be announced Thursday afternoon.
Prize: Playing Horde with a video game celebrity!
Other info: This "game with fame" will consist of Horde beginning at 9 PST Friday Night.
