Gears 2 Dark Corners Review
Tue Jul 28, 2009 at 04:51:15 PM EST
Welcome to Delta squad as you dive deeper into the hollow and the story that got caught on the cutting room floor with the new Dark Corners DLC for Gears of War 2. As you start up the deleted scene you are greeted by Cliff Bleszinski explaining the story that you are about to encounter and why sometimes things get deleted. It is Marcus and Dom on the highway to Nexus to stop the Locust Queen, with just learning about the fate of Maria (Dom's wife) and you have the choice of using stealth, or go in guns blazing.

Price Reduction For 'Dark Corners' DLC!
Fri May 29, 2009 at 10:13:07 PM EST
Due to a lot of dedicated fans and even game sites complaining about the royal shaft at the planned 1,600 MS price point for the new DLC dropping on July 28th, MS has finally come to their senses. Well, some of their senses. Instead of disenfranchising the dedicated fan base, they've decided to drop the price point to 1,200 MS points. That's 400 points ($5 USD) lower. In addition, there will NO longer be a retail "boxed" product any longer. So, if you've already pre-ordered it, get your money refunded. Ign.com was the first to break the news. The brief interview is listed after the jump.

Adding to the Dead

Whether your fancy is the Xbox 360 or PC of Left 4 Dead, many players have seen a little bit of rabid action or plans to. While the gameplay is nearly perfectly streamlined in Valve fashion however, no one can argue that the game's greatest shortcoming is the lack of content on disk. 4 campaigns, each with 4-5 maps, and only two of the campaigns available on versus mode. Sure, playing versus and co-op, not to mention some fun and rather well thought out achievements, can stretch out a 4 hour game to a couple of months, but what then?
Valve has voiced that they will support the game post-release and supposedly much quicker than what they did for Team Fortress 2. So what content are you looking forward to?
The New Maps - Breakdown
Mon Dec 15, 2008 at 04:41:03 AM EST
The three "new" maps included in the new Map pack are a bit of a switch from the current Gears 2 Maps due to the fact that they are actually very small maps and make for much more intense battles.
Lastest Rumor: Gears 3 in 2010
Wed Dec 10, 2008 at 03:22:15 PM EST
According to the latest issue of EGM and Split-Screen, it is being reported on N4G.com that Epic is readying up the third Gears game for holiday 2010. There will also be new info about Gears featured on the Spike TV VGA 2008 Awards show taking place on Dec. 14th. at 9 PM.
Whether this new info will be upcoming DLC for Gears 2 or the announcement of Gears 3 (which I think is too early to generate the buzz) lefts to be seen. We all know that DLC is coming down the pipe, it's just a matter of what and when. I think that Epic will probably wait until after the upcoming patch that they are working on is certified and released before we see any DLC. What do you guys and girls think?
