Gearheads of War

Even with the release of the new dlc, Gears 2 is still fourth in the charts behind Halo 3, CoD:WaW, and CoD4.  

For 3Suns and his boys along with Hollowcell, you guys can rest a bit easier knowing that MS, Epic, and Japan have reached a somewhat tentative agreement. Gears 2 will see its way to the land of the rising sun. MS hurriedly retracted their statement because it was apparently too early to announce the launch plan. It has been moved to "sometime in 2009." If this is indeed true, our Asian bruthas will have access to all DLC and future update without XBL's current IP filtering.

I just wanted to drop everyone a note and say, I deleted the World at War diary simply because there was nothing constructive coming out of it anymore.  I actually have World at War and I plan to play it in the near future.

People are allowed to criticize Gears 2.  This is not about censorship, but I do want to remind people that this is first and foremost, a Gears fan community.  If you come in to say why you didn't like certain aspects of Gears 2, that's perfectly fine, but if you promise to not play it any more and are bored by it, then I would recommend just moving on and finding another fan community because this one isn't for you.  We all love more than just Gears, but this community is founded on loving the game of Gears so if you don't love it, then it probably doesn't fit for you.  Thanks.

WTF Happened with the matchmaking in Gears 2.

I love the game, the campaigns great and online has been pretty good if you manage to get into a game but honestly, how did they f*** up the match making so that it takes 10 minutes to find a match. Seriously was there no testing done?

OMG This needs to be fixed because its f***ing terrible. End of rant.

Since, I'm probably the first one up today (late night brother) I will start off the FFF recap.

Wow!

I got online around 10pm eastern and I have 45 Friends showing online and almost All of them were playing Gears 2.

I have never seen that with any other launch game.

And Launch last night..  We did!

What stories do you have?!

There were so many of us, that we couldn't possibly organinze getting rooms together.  Didn't need to, it was organic.  Just join up with someone and play all night.

Papi, Tyrus, Silentstryker, (Tyrus's friend) forgot his name... and I played Horde.

For the Horde!!

We played on casual (yes, we are lame..)

But brother let me tell you..  By the time we got to Forty, it was Tough!!

Two or three torque bows were needed to kill some of those ugly bastards!

At 2:30 am, we finished level fifty.  We were exhausted!

Papi and Tyrus were Just Carrying us other three through the waves.

Time and time again, it was those two finishing off the wave.  With us watching in hope ;-)

The ghost cam became my good friend. I spent so much time there that I got pretty good at taking pictures.  Oh well, dying is good for something I guess.. ;-)

Ladies and Gentlegears, the day is here!

In just HOURS we will be standing in line, waiting for Gear of War 2. Heck, some GearHeads are playing it RIGHT NOW! Like all of you, I am giddy in anticipation and can't wait to get my hands on the game tonight.

Also, AOL is premeiring the Gears 2 soundtrack to listen to online! Haven't tried it yet but if it works, we can listen to the Gears 2 soundtrack while we wait, online!

Only 3 MORE DAYS!!!!!

Since Gears 2 is only a mere 9 DAYS AWAY! (even though it feels like a million days), I was wondering if anyone wanted to start coming up with ideas for groups in Wingman and Horde. I'm extremely bored right now so I really dont have anything else to do. But anyways, if you want, post below what teams you think would be very successful for Wingman and/or Horde. I'm gonna go back to watching a live broadcast of Fallout 3 :D

Oh yes! So, I havent watched the entire vid yet, but I've seen a few little things that I like. You can see the ranks for the people in the room (much like CoD/Halo), and if you look at the map selection on the side, you can see how the map voting works now. Its all with the triggers. I dont think I can wait 16 more days...
