In Gears of War 2 things have changed quite a bit especially on the side of weapons. This includes not only new weapons, but new ways of using some of the existing weapons in the game. Today I am going to cover some basic tactics with Grenades. Even if you are familiar with them already there are some bits that most people seem to be missing, so here we go.

In Gears of War 2 things have changed quite a bit especially on the side of weapons. This includes not only new weapons, but new ways of using some of the existing weapons in the game. Today I am going to cover some basic tactics with Grenades. Even if you are familiar with them already there are some bits that most people seem to be missing, so here we go.

So I finally went ahead and went High Def! This Friday/Saturday my new 52" Sony Bravia LCD tv will arrive. Along with it will be a Sony Bravia Blu-Ray player and Sony Bravia Home Entertainment systesm (Tuner, Speakers, etc...) It is officially the first HD TV I have owned and I will finally get to see Gears and all my other Games in 1080p AWESOMENESS! Up till now I have been standard def and I think I may be the only MS employee who did not have an HD TV. NO MORE I SAY! Give me the sweetness! The gods nectar of Shotty Giblets in all their 52 inch high def glory! GIVE ME MOAR! Can't wait till it is all setup! Now my wife and I will be able to do splitscreen in Gears without the top and bottom split! Woot!

Hey all I am working on some new diaries covering some of the other weapons in Gears 2 continuing int he tradition of my grenades guide. One thing I really wanted to know though, is if anyone knows if there is a list of how active reload affects each weapon in gears 2? I know the effects are different for different weapons and can't find a good list of each weapons active reload bonus.

So lately I don't get much time to play due to working at Microsoft During the Day, and Teaching during the nights and weekends. But when I do play I like to play public matches. It's not that I want to rank up to show that I am that good to everyone else... I want to rank up because it gives me a tangible way of tracking my own personal progress and improvement at gears 2. I also can't do voice chat right now due to some items I am testing. So private matches tend to not be as fun for me since gearheads like to sit for 20-30 minutes at times and chat, which is normally awesome, but since I cannot chat outside of sending voice messages, just gets frustrating for me. So here is what I am looking for..

Wow! Just wow! I got to play with a couple gearheads here and there yesterday but not that much due to everytime someone sent me an invite their party was full before I could get in. But the most amazing thing happened! My wife said those magic words... I want to try!

So Since I picked up my Gears copy at 7-11 on Wednesday, I went into gamestop today to cancel my preorder that I was supposed to pick up during the Midnight madness.

The chic behind the counter was asking me why I wanted to cancel... SO I told her... I already got it from 7-11 on Wednesday... The entire freaking store gave a collect WHAT!?!?!?!?!!!!! So I explained and they were amazed that not only did 7-11 sell games, but new ones. So when she went to cancel I asked her if they still had any of the codes for the hammerburst and the theme. She said that they were only for those that were at the midnight launch and that actually bought the game at gamestop...

Then she leans in and says... but your really cool... And once the manager went in the back room, she slipped them to me! Sweet, So I carry my golden Hammer Burst, not because I was one of the few.. but because I am that freaking sexy!

I'm Sorry... I can't hear you over the sound of how AWESOME I AM!

HOLY #$)(#%$ WOW!

SO I was playing a game of warzone... 5 on 5 ranked... The other team had 4 guys left... I was the ony man left on my team. I found the mulcher.... WOW! I went up to the nearest barricade and hit the left trigger mounting the mulcher on the cement block, two enemies came around a corner probably 100 feet in front of me and started firing. I pulled the trigger and sprayed an arch of lead across them and they both freakin desintegrated like vampires in the sun! Like vaporized! So I check the score and see that there are two left, I decide to lug the mulcher around the map and hunt them down. After about a minute of limping along carying that big bastard, I saw them at the same time they saw me. They must have thought that I would be too slow to hit them as they both broke into roady runs to come right at me. I didn't even stop, I just started holding down the trigger and it was like a white hot stream of gods fury blasted those F%$%&ers!!! I SWEAR I HAVE NEVER SEEN A MORE VIOLENT DEATH IN GEARS, it was like hundreds of little bits of them just dropping to the ground... I think I am in love.... Oh yeah, and the Damn HAMMER OF DAWN IS TEH SH Dragging the beam is death to anyone in the path now!

So I had a chance to jump into Gears 2 this morning and the following are some of my initial thoughts on it... On a side note... Anything you had that resembled a social life is gone... The locust have taken it and while Marcus and crew are hell bent on chainsawdamizing every damn locust on the planet... they are not going to give your social life back when they find it...

Hey there... Just figured I would see if I am seeing things or not... on the Gears of war 2 Launch Center on Game Trailers (http://www.gametrailers.com/gears2launch.php) it is showing to me that there is only a little over 2 days till gears launches.... Anybody else see that on the countdown image? For me right now (2:09 pm on Saturday Nov 11th in the PST timezone) it is showing 2d 15 hr 51mn and 30sec. To me that looks like 2 days, 15 hours and 51 minutes... Am I crazy?
