Something I found quite funny

Thu Nov 13, 2008 at 06:38:42 PM EST

I thought this was pretty funny, and actually kind of sad. But the game that I took out of my disc tray to play Gears 2, was well.....Gears 1 haha. I really hope we Gears 2 can hold everyone's attention as long as Gears 1 did. Heres to good times with good people!

I'm playing Gears 2 on Friday

Wed Oct 15, 2008 at 10:12:09 PM EST

So is Average. Toronto's awesome. There'll be pwnage and boners all around. I'll give you guys my impressions I'm sure average will too. Im so pumped you have no idea. And afterwards we'll be hitting up a snowboard show then back to Gears 2. I might go to the event all 3 days cause Im just that cool.

Anyways just thought I'd share the news, I'll try to find my shitty ass camera and take some pictures.

PS. This is the first time Average and I are meeting, hopefully he doesnt ass-rape me. bahahaha.

The Love Thread

Gearheads is still the shit. 'Nuff said

Leave your love here. I think we all need a group hug anyways.

Holy shit! NHL09!!

Tue Aug 12, 2008 at 07:25:26 PM EST

WOW! A hockey MMO!? where everyone controls their own player on the ice. Im...speechless...

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/897/897903p1.html

"Playing sports games online has always been the same deal: one-on-one, each player controls all of the players on their given team. EA Sports, specifically its Vancouver branch, is changing that classic paradigm by delivering what they're calling sports gaming's first Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) mode"

Another cool part is that you can change whatever team you're on providing a GM can convince you to do so.

"GMs will also be able to recruit players away using any negotiation tactics possible within the confines of a controller and a headset."

This game is now a must buy for me. Holy shit.

360 Price drop

Sun Jul 13, 2008 at 04:10:28 AM EST

Important news (I guess) that may have been leaked due to Target being a little anxious.

"Microsoft still hasn't officially announced a price cut for the Xbox 360, but Target has.  In a media alert sent out this evening, Target says that the rumors of an upcoming Xbox 360 price cut "have become a reality."  The alert confirms the new price as $299, a 50 dollar discount over what you previously had to pay."

Apparently, they also throw in a $25 gift card if you buy the Pro bundle.  Cool stuff if you ask me.

Update [2008-7-13 6:25:30 by Blankman]: This $50 price drop is only applicable for the Pro edition what is equipped with the 20 GB HDD.  The Arcade and Elite SKUs remain unchanged at the current price of $279.99 and $449.99, respectively.  MS is clearancing the Pro (formerly Premium) SKU & replacing it with a brand new SKU with a 60 GB HDD for $349.99.

Spore Creature Creator

Wed Jun 18, 2008 at 02:57:25 PM EST

All I have to say is WOW! the amount of customization you can have and the different variants of a single creature is absolutely amazing! And that's only with a demo version of the creature creator. I have to say this game is definitely up there for me now, just by playing the creature creator, I've been able to make quite a few completely different monsters using only a couple of pieces, you have to try it to get an idea of how much you can do.

I highly suggest you guys download the demo and give it a shot.

sorry buddy, my usualy friday night, I was partially intoxicated and actually still am. My usual friday night is me going out drinking with a couple buddies then coming in for some FFF but it was a little different because I ended up having the party at my house and the rents were home so he kicked me off the xbox wihch was kinda lame. Sorry baby I love you

Tonight....

Sat Apr 26, 2008 at 07:23:21 PM EST

Since I missed what seemed to be a sweet FFF, I'm going to be hosting a room right now. Its 7:22 pm EST and I plan on playing for awhile. I'm gonna go no weapon swaps 10 second bleedout and friendly fire. Seeming as thats what you ladies like. So if you're gonna join either leave a post here when or get on and get fraggin'

ps. If someone else wants to host thats fine, I hate hosting :P

Looks like I'm cancelling my Xbox live account

April Fools. Gotcha!

Seriously, somebody had to do it haha ;)

By the way since I'm trying to fill up the 300 character limit, I got Super Smash Bros Brawl, and its all I've been playing for the past few days. When I figure out how to get my friend code I'll post it. Right now I'm really digging the Subspace emissary mode, running around killing bad guys, its a nice change from the usual arena fighting.

Maybe we can give it another shot...

It seems Team Fortress 2 has been patched fixing a ton of bugs and such and it seems they've cleaned up  some of the networking.

Heres the most important part of the article.

    * Fixed a medic invulnerability exploit.
    * Fixed grenades going through players or buildings.
    * Fixed exploit with rockets causing damage through thin walls.
    * Fixed exploit allowing snipers to fire faster than intended.
    * Fixed exploit allowing players to teleport with the intelligence.
    * Fixed exploit attaching sappers to buildings through walls.
    * Fixed spy backstab exploit.
    * Fixed spy being able to attack without dropping his disguise.
    * Medics no longer heal enemy spies when they're not disguised.
    * Tweaked autobalance calculations.
    * When an engineer dies in sudden death, his buildings explode.
    * Fixed stats sometimes not reporting correctly.
    * Added a dialog to indicate when the host shuts down the server.
    * Added rumble to TF weapons.
    * Fixed ping column sometimes getting hidden in some resolutions.
    * Added 10 and 14 player game sizes.
    * Prevent hosts selecting game sizes above their bandwidth limits.
    * Improved handling of large network packets to eliminate bandwidth spikes.
    * Reduced respawn times for smaller games.

I'll probably be playing it sometime tonight to see if it really helped the lag situation. Anyone want to game with me? http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/856/856498p1.html
