Yesterday I tried to host a match for gears a war.And it said my firewall was preventing me from hosting a match. I had similar problem hosting co-op with crackdown. Has anybody else had this problem and how can I fix it. I dont have a problem getting into a match that someone sends me an invite, except sometimes I can not connect to the host.But I dont think thats a related to the firewall or not.

First I would like to thank all the gearheads who have sent me invites to games and made me felt welcome. Also thank you guys for anytips that you have given me.I have seen some kind of improvement but I am still far from the top of the gearhead food chain like Master Pre, Prodigy, Zoso fan, MDK and the list goes on of top guns on here.But friday night after the game with Master Pre had ended one of my friends sent me an invite to play in his game that he was playing. Now I have not played in match with non gearheads in a while because I have not had the greatest experiance playing on line. So I jumped in to his game that they had already started.
They where playing on depot and they decided to split up into two groups. One stayed on top and the other group which I was in went on the bottom.Next thing I know all four of them where headed are way taking out my teammate with a chainsaw. all of a sudden I am taking out three of the other team before the fourth guy takes me out.And my team took the match.My team mates couldnt belive what they saw just happen with in a couple minutes of the game. The one guy was so impressed that he invited me into a match later on that night.
I know you guys are probably thinking thats know big deal.But too me it was a huge accomplishement for me that I was looked in a positive light playing instead of some body telling me how much I suck.And I belive I owe it all to you guys for kicking my but every friday night.
Game Neglect

As I make my way threw my third time playing gears of war story mode, I can not help but think about my other 360 games that I have that are being neglected because of gears of war.I have gotten both splinter cell double agent and saints row that I recieved from christmas still sitting in their wrapper.I also have Lost Planet and Viva Pinta that I have been playing but nothing like the time I play with gears.And I have a nintendo wii with legend of zelda that I have played maybe about an hour since I got it about a month ago.And on top of that I am thinking about going to pick up crack down today.I know my time is limited with a baby, wife, job and other hobbies. But as soon as get some free time to play my video games its always gears of war. I do not know if its because I want to get good at it, so I practice playing every chance I get, or is it trying to unlock the achivments that have me playing any chance I get. If their was a child protective service for video games they would have taken my games away from me.

To any gearheads who send me an invite to join them in a game during the week.If I do not respond. The reason is during the week I watch my 3 month daughter at nights while my wife is working. As much as I would love to join you guys in a match, but she would only be good for about an hour and then she starts to fuss and I would have to bail on the game. And I do not think that would be fair to you guys. I try to let who ever sends me an invite that I can not make it and thanks for the invite. But I did not want you guys to think I was a snob and I do not want to play with you guys. Trust me I love getting invites to play and I would respond to the invite If I could.
Square Enix

Has signed a deal to use the Unreal Engine 3 in their up coming games. I am not a big fan of the final fantasy series but this is something that I am going to keep my eye on. And also Square Enix said in the past that they want to do something new for the 360 so maybe this has something to do with it.And its great news for Epic that a huge company like Square Enix is going to use their engine.
Multiplayer Tips

So I have been playing gears online for about a week.I have been in about a dozen matches or so. And almost ever time I play I get crushed. I think once I had seven kills.So what kind of tips can you give a noob like me, so I will not embarass my self and end up being lancer fodder. Also thanks again to Master Pre for the invite last night. Your friends where probably like dont invite that dude again

if you guys remember I posted a diary debating If I should get xbox live or not. Well I finally broke down and got my self hooked up to xbox live.My gamertag is Dark Karma76 in case any body wants to add me to their firends list. I am sure I will be an easy target for any body who plays against me since I am some what a noob.I look forward to hearing from some of you.

hey guys its been a while since I have been able to post my only means of a computer have been threw work. And Big brother has been watching me. They have but a filter on are computers and I have not been able to get on the sites and post. Well we finally got internet and a computer at home so I am back.In case anybody was wondering what happen to me. Also with the home computer and internet I will be finally getting xbox live, so I will let you guys know in case any body wants to break me into xbox live

I picked up the CE of Gears and waited to I completed the game before I viewed the bonus Dvd that was included with the Game. That way I made sure that if their was any spoilers in the dvd that it would not ruin the game for me. What was strange was when I was watching the video they showed some video of Unreal Tournament that I have seen for the PS3. Now why would they show video for a game that right now is only announced for the PS3. Was that a hint that its coming to the 360 as well.I would love to see that on the 360 but why would they show video of it on a behind the scene dvd for gears when gears is suppose to be a punch to the PS3

As some of you will remember back for the faceplace contest. That I wrote about me and my wife expecting are fist baby. As of 8:59 am est I am the proud father of a beautiful 7lb 19inch baby girl. I am gushing with pride. Maybe later when I am not dead exhausted . I will write a full report if you guys are interseted.

Last week I posted in a Diary that some made about having problems with their Xbox 360. I stated in that diary that "knock on wood that i have not had a problem with my 360 since I picked it up back in February". Well Thursday night I had my brother over and we were playing Graw. What better way to practice are team work to get us ready for Gears. Well about an hour into playing when the game Freezes up. So I Check the disc and restart the game and again the game stops. So I let it sit over night and try the game on friday morning.Again I start playing and it freezes. so this time I try another game to see maybe its just the game and not the 360. So I put in dead rising and I have no problem but it sounds like the fan is really working hard. So I turn it off and head out for work. Come Saturday I try Graw again and it freezes up. This time I unplug all the cords and make sure none of the cords were loose.Reconnect and power up the system and then Bam Three flashing red lights and a black tv.
I call the nice automated customer support number that came with my 360. I am reading the options that are listed. Press 2 if you are experiencing three flashing red light. So I press 2 and they tell me to retart the xbox. Check already tried that. Unplugg the cords and replugged them. check already did that. Okay unattach the hard drive if you have one and then retart. Check tried that too.
Next thing I did was too call back and talk to an actual person. Tell them that I followed the directions on the automated number and they tell me right now their system is down and they can not put in a call to tech support to call back around 9pm est.
So I call back sunday morning and speak to a different person. They have me go threw the same thing that I did on saturday and I do it one more time and I still have three flashing red lights. This time they ask me what color is the power light. I tell them its green and they said that was a good sign. But again their computer system was down and they told me to call back in 24hrs and they gave my a reference number to give when I call back.
Right now I am frustrated.Because I am with out the 360 and gears of war is only a couple of weeks away. does any body know what kind of turn around they have with reparing their 360.Is my hard drive going to be deleted.
