xbox live help!

ok so where I'm at now has DSL, so I cant get live here. BUT, the neighbors next door who I know well have broadband, and i DO have a wireless linksys router. If I hook up the router, can it find that connection by itself or do i need to search for a network through the computer (which I really dont have access to here) PLEASE let me know because if i can hook it up i will have silver in no time and finally be back!

heres the video that was just put on youtube, its the second part to the video grymm posted a couple of days ago. In this one, there are only two players going against the locusts.
One thing in this vid that worries me is that one of the guys seems to try to take cover multiple times but he keeps getting pulled out of it, which was a huge annoyance for me in gears 1.
On the plus side it seems like theres an enemy dishing out a lot of firepower for some good clean family fun, but you dont really get to see who it is clearly.
Also, here is a much longer horde video, not the best of quality, but still...its horde. its over 5 minutes and is on the map River.

Some big guys including the butcher boomer make an appearance. And aaround 4:40 the guy presses pause and the usual "resume", "options" , "achievements" etc are there, but there is also another thing called "whats up!".........Any ideas on what that could be??

Well Rock Band 2 was announced today in a press release, and some very interesting info about the game as well....found here:

I think the BIGGEST thing is that the DLC you purchase from rock band 1 is seemlessly loaded into rockband 2 without re-paying or re-downloading. Of course i'm also excited to see what the new online modes are, as well as what the instruments improvements are.
Grymm didn't you say you saw a ppic or read about the new drum features?
Anyone have a fix for a scratched disc?

So I FINALLY got a new drum kit for rock band.YES! But now of COURSE the disc refuses to be read by my 360. I looked at the disc and you can see a few scratches that must've been caused by the console itself because my discs go right from the console back to their cases, no playing frisbee with them in between. So for awhile I used toothpaste to fill in the scratches which worked for a few weeks, but now that I have my new drum set it decides to no longer work for me...figures...so I'm wondering if anyone out there has a quick-fix method for repairing (permenantly or temporarily) discs that have been scratched. Any suggestions will be very helpful and appreciated :)

ok so the other night a group of us played Grifball, which was my first time playing it. I loved it except for the fact that we had small, uneven teams.I think we should try that out again and get more people this time to make it more fun because halo has really become boooooring. Also, i made a map with foundry to recreate a fun custom game type back from halo 2, tower of power. if you want to check it out let me know so we can test it out because its probably a hit or miss and needs at least 6 people to play. I say its worth a shot (especially because i dont have gears or cod4 so this is the best i can do)

so i havent had gold in awhileso i havent played online for 2 months until saturday, but i only have about 1 to 2 hours left of my 48 hour subscription if anyone wants to play halo, rockband, or orange box one last time (not forever, but definitely for awhile)
hmm 300 characters................cant think of anything besides that i only have a few minutes left of multiplayer left..........

anybody up for some team fortress 2 today? i havent played in forever and id like to play an actual game (not demo) online because i havent in a while, plus tf2 is just fun :) I havent talked or played with some of you in a long time too, so thatd be cool if we could have a few people play because the random public players on there dont communicate that much and it makes the game less fun. Also, for those of you that have invited me to many gears and cod4 games, thanks but i havent/cant accept those because i do not own those games,just so you know im not completely ignoring the invites or anything

All i need to know is whether or not guitar hero 3 is available or if its "short wait". im asking because im just gonna sign up for one month and rent it, but if its short wait ill juts be wasting my membership and unfortunately u cant see the games availability until AFTER you sign up....so if anyone has gameznflix please let me know if GH3 is available!! thanks a much
