The past two weeks has been uneasy on me. Part of it was fun, another part was dull. On November 15, Wednesday, as soon as I got home, my brother called. He said, "Jordan, theirs five people waiting for the ps3, come now." All I ate that day was a piece of cheesecake, and I mean a small piece of cheesecake. I'm not fat. I'm 5'10 or 5'11 and weight around 140 pounds. Average looking guy to be honest and not cocky. And then I was off, the time of my life. Exhausted with school, dulled with my school, starving and sleeping. These we're the traits I left with. But then things changed. While waiting for the ps3 for two days at walmart, I met really great people. Their was a girl about 17 years old, which everyone was trying to "spit some game" with her. They ended up with her number at the end of the day. I found that kinda funny when I found out. We stayed in front of wal-mart for those two days. Instead of just sitting and talking, which wasn't boring at all, we decided to plug tv's in front of wal-mart and bring our systems. The wal-mart manager knew who we are we're so he allowed us. Especially since my brother and I camped for the xbox 360, sitting on a bench for 18 hrs straight just to recieve a the first and true next-gen experience at home. At wal-mart we played halo2 and I mainly played Gears Of War. Many people came to watch me pwning everybody. Over 20 people I played in total, yet, not one was able to stop me. I killed them everyway possible to show off. At times, I didn't even need to shoot one bullet, I could of just furiously rushed them and grenade tag or chainsaw them. It was a exciting experience till they gave up since they didn't enjoy the beating I was giving them. People talked about how the in-game graphics and cutscenes are completely identical and good looking. Here you have Gears Of War. A game that sticks to it's actual graphic throughout the whole progress. As always two hours before the system is release, you always have people attempting to skip. When I camped for the 360, it happened. When I camped for the ps3, it happened. When I camped for the wii, it happened. Their was only 14 units for ps3. Our group/friends we're in the list so we didn't need to worry. Besides we wouldn't let people take our spots after being camping for two days. So at the end of the day, we brought two playstation 3. One we're keeping, the other is on ebay selling for 1grand at the moment. Wonderful. Just wonderful. The people who came to late, set their eyes upon the oversized case of the system, unsatisfied of not obtaining one. With the ps3, it brought tallega nights (movie about ricky bobby in blue ray.) and Resistance: Fall Of Men. This isn't about comparing of contrasting about which system is better or worse. It depends on the players who take control of the game and decide. I will say Resistance is a great game, but I byfar enjoy Gears Of War Alot better. Yet I still haven't played Resistance online yet, but im aware it's 40 players so I would like to know how that turns out. Mainly the ps3 is a nice looking system. Gets fingerprints instantly. The dashboard is identical to the psp which is sad, yet easy to use. The controller is the same as the ps2 but with a left and right trigger, also a motion sensor which you barely ever use for resistance. You'll able to download demos and trailers. Also, you can use the internet, check your myspace or ign, anything. It contains a wireless internet just like the nintendo wii.
On Saturday, i then camped for the wii with my little brother. The people who we're waiting we're extremely boring and losers. As soon as we got there, they we're talking about pokemon and they we're 18 years old! "My pikachu is lvl 50 and it'll beat you." I couldn't believe what I heard. Pokemon was great, best cartoon, but now, i've gotten too mature for it. Besides team rocket never win against Ash. Anyways... they basically played super smash melee and a dragon ball z game for the gamecube. I, played a little of halo2 and GoW with friends and strangers. After we put our systems away, it became extremely boring. I walked in and out of wal-mart about twenty times. Having a hurtful pain on both feet due to walking waayy too much i needed to sit. Yet, I couldn't find a free chair. After what seem like another two days camping (it was really boring..), we brought two wii's. With, of course, Twilight princess, two of them so we don't need to share. Twilight princess is incredible, breathtaking. Finally a great zelda game that can match or pass Orcarina of time. To pull out your sword and do different sword attack or aim, you move your motion sensor controller. With this great, easy to use controller it really adds a new experience to gaming. Some people may say it ugly, but it's quite easy and comfortable to handle and use. Yet, if you haven't sat down and played the system and actually give it a try, you can't necessary judge. Out of all the three systems, Xbox 360=1. Wii=2. Ps3=3.
The xbox360 always been the best online console. it always contained great titles, especially in 2007 such as halo 3, halo wars, mass effect, bioshock, assassin's creed, kane and lynch: dead man, and so on. The xbox always stood out as a great console due to the power of the console and the great games. Thats why it's my favorite.
The Wii has set a new generation of gaming. Possibly a closer look to where gaming would head in another six years. With the wireless, motion-sensor controller, it adds a new experience that gamers may never felt. Maybe thats why Twilight Princess for the Wii is being title as the best Zelda game. Does that means best game ever?? Who knows? Gamers would decide.
The ps3 has not change incredibly. They could of done a lot better and they seem to be doing a decent job. Not great thought. Not great. You have the same color of the system, black, which equals instant fingerprints. The psp dashboard into a "next-gen" system. The controller which weights about one pound, extremely light. Feels as if your holding nothing. Also it just looks too... similiar. But hey, makes it easy for ps2 or psp fans to instantly get hooked onto the games. Yet, the launching titles are failing just like the psp's games. Resistance is the only one worth getting a ps3. If only Metal Gear Solid 4 was release, then their would be a massive releases.
