Gearheads of War

Okay, so I just got Left 4 Dead, and here are my initial impressions...

So here's a collection of pics from last night' FragFest. It was a big conglomerated mess of playing with GearHeads in private matches and venturing out into the big wild world against nameless tools.

on Casual, at least. Me, Papi, Kenai, and SilentStriker (I think) took a crack at it with one of my pals. Here's a few pics showing the carnage.

So I go up to the new Mall I reserved my copy at, and guess what? Mall management decided they felt uncomfortable with the Midnight release so I have to wait until 0800 EST. It wasn't too much of a big deal because I went home and went to sleep (trying to hop back to days for the weekend, damn circadian rhythm!). Unfortunately, it's 4 AM now and I can't get back to sleep. My gym opens at 530, so I'm going to go there, murder my body, then hit up Gamestop and hopefully not murder the staff. LoL.

Needless to say, there's another Gamestop equidistant from my house that was able to have their midnight launch fine. Guess where I'm taking my future business? LoL.

Anyhoo, had to bitch a tad. See yall later today! Hope some of you guys are up when I get on. Don't sleep dammit! =p

Yup, been to launches for Halo 2 and 3. I hope I'm not disappointed. Frankly, I don't think I will. It'll be good and bad being with so many fanboys... here is an exception because we're cool. lol.

So I'll be at the midnight launch tonight at my local Game stop and imagine the ridiculousness will go something like this:

I'll be standing there when some douche starts bragging about his skills. Ever notice how that seems to parallel the same thing dudes say when they're "good in bed" or are "big." First, between men you should never tell me about your cock size. I don't need to know, nor do I want to know. Playful banter among friends is an exception. But when you're standing next to a complete stranger (i.e., me), I don't care if you're the "Best Gears player online" or were "in the top 1,000."

I did it a little after Emergence day, and I'll do it now... I will cram a friggin' chainsaw up your ass.

Vae Victus, gearheads. See you tonight (or tomorrow morning, actually).

Okay, so here's my proposal. Starting tomorrow, post your pictures (if able) of your Halloween costumes. If not, I call upon the arcane power of the admins to make a page where we can view our Gearheads adorned in all their glory. I'll have a pic up Sunday or Monday. We should have a deadline though. No later than Monday would be my guess.

Then we do a poll on who has the coolest outfit. No prize, just bragging rights.

Anyhoo, that's the spiel.

Also, sorry I didn't show up last night! I got home from work and hung out with my brother for a while then passed out on the couch. I woke up around midnight and just went straight to bed. Regardless, I WILL be on Sunday night. Probably all Sunday night to get prepped for night shift on Monday. So for those who went online and I wasn't there, I'm sorry!

Anyhoo, my Final Run with Gears will be this Sunday. I'll probably get on 9 to 11 PM EST. Hope to see ya there!

EIGHT DAYS 'TILL GEARS 2!

No, I'm not talking about the kick-ass level from Halo 1. I'm talking about this week. Can you imagine that Gears 2 comes out NEXT Friday? I won't be able to make FFF again this week. I'll actually be out of town at a Halloween party, so there's a good reason.

Anyhoo, I'll be on Gears tomorrow about 10 or 11 PM EST. I know those of you with normal jobs may find joining me difficult, but anyone who can hop on, get on. We're going to rock this shit like the Riders of Rohan at Pelennor fields.

I'll be going to night shift starting Monday. I'll be on launch and will be fully prepped by then to handle the night-owl lifestyle. So if I don't see you tomorrow, I'll see yall sometime next week.

So it's official. Bioware has confirmed that it is indeed working on a Star Wars MMORPG set 300 years after Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. The game will focus on two factions, the Sith and Jedi, with various classes being explored. Full details can be read at 1up.

Valve has launched it's $10 million dollar ad campaign for Left 4 Dead.

Ads have been popping up in San Fransisco's subway system and billboards have been spotted in Seattle, California, and Chicago.

I think one of the writers at 1up was wondering whether or not Valve would be using the half-eaten hand logo we've come to know.
