Gearheads of War

So apparently you can now have your own custom themes for your dashboard with the NXE. I haven't tried it out yet myself because I've been using netflix all night but according to people on game trailers you can do it. If I find out how I'll update this post with how to do so. Or if someone else figures it out they can update it as well.

So while my live was going down the shitter I decided to rent Mirror's Edge to help pass the time. I realize that most people don't have the time to pick this up with Gears and L4D coming soon but I figured I would write a mini review anyways.

Over at gearsofwar.com Six Okay posted a blog about all of the new features that are on the site. One of the new features is a stat page that is pretty much like the stat page that Bungie has for Halo 3. I was kind of disappointed that there wasn't somewhere on the leaderboards to keep track of your actual stats but now that I found out about this feature I'm perfectly happy. So I figured I would start up a chat for those of us who are in line waiting and can talk. Just something to pass the time with.                                                                                                                    

So I figured I would start up a new chat that was centered around the election. Anything else can be talked about as well. As of right now McCain is ahead in Indiana, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, and it's already been called that he has won Kentucky. Obama has won Vermont. He is also ahead in New Hampshire but it's less than 1% reported and the total votes are only  2 to 1 so I'm not really counting that as of right now lol. As of now the electoral votes are McCain: 8 Obama: 3. I would say I would update this but unfortunately you still can't edit diaries. So I'll just do it in the comments.

Also is the site looking weird to anyone else or is it just me? None of the black background will show up for me.

So I figured before I embark on my Halloween journey I would ask what is everyone else doing for their night. My early goings consist of me hiding in my yard with my paintball gun and my bowl of candy at the top of my driveway (I live on a giant hill). I put up a sign at the bottom of my driveway stating that if the trick or treater can make it up to the top of my hill without getting shot then they can have the entire bowl of candy. As of writing this (it's 8:04 p.m. est) no one has made it to the bowl. I am leaving at 8:30 to go to a party so unfortunately I have to stop my fun. Interested to know what else everyone else has planned.

Found a nice little multiplayer montage from ign. It features the new maps. Gives us better looks at them besides the crappy quality of the leaked videos. Found this little article over at x3f. It's based off of an interview with one of the screen writers for the movie. Says that they want to make it as realistic as possible. Also it's going to be a blend of live action and CGI. Enjoy

Alright so I guess I just have some sort of Beta magic or something. I got another beta code. This one is for resistance 2. Since I no longer have a PS3 I decided to give it away to someone who does.
