Xbox live when you think about it is a fantastic thing and a amazing achievement, bringing together gamers from all over the world and letting them play together. The first game I played on Xbox live was Halo 2; we had it as a gift for Christmas of 2004, along with a 12 month trail of Xbox live. The first time I played I didn't use my microphone I was sacred, well it was more of a lack of confidence. Confidence is something I don't have a great deal of anyway, but surely enough after a few hours playing I started to talk to people, most people were very friendly and helped out other people who were unsure of the rules of assault and the other halo game types, they was no trash talking. Playing was great everyone was dual wielding SMG's and having fun no seriousness to be found. Now look at Halo 2 today what you find is a community bent on harassing and destroying everyone's fun. Games are about fun and enjoying what you are doing, and with Xbox Live enjoying that game with others and sharing experiences.
Back in January 2005 I discovered Ghost Recon 2 and became a fan and played that online for months and built up a strong list of friends who had the same values as I do as a gamer "play for fun it does not matter if you win or lose". Most of the friends I made on Ghost Recon 2 I still play with today on G.R.A.W.
