I think the Neca Lancer might out do it but this will still shoot darts I guess. Since I can't post links just cut and paste it into a page sorry maybe a Mod can fix my post.

Guitar Hero or Rock Band?
Mon Sep 08, 2008 at 10:41:32 PM EST

Ok since all of the talk about Tool being on the new Guitar Hero I have been looking over the set lists for each game trying to decide what to buy. I'm up in the air both have a lot of great songs but I'm leaning toward Rock Band now. I'm only playing the guitar I'm not interested in getting drums or mic. If you have played both does the Fender controller beat out the guitar hero one? I'm going to pick up the old game first then buy the new one later. Thoughts?
Metallica Death Magnetic
Sat Sep 06, 2008 at 05:57:23 PM EST

I came across some of the new songs from Metallica's new album on Youtube and they weren't all bad. I liked Metallica back in the day but was not a hard core fan at all. I didn't own albums except one and once Lars started his crusade against Napster I wrote them off. But I'm on the fence now about the new album. Songs are around 7 minutes long with some long solo's and dueling guitars that sound bad ass. I have listened to 3 songs maybe but I'm considering buying. Anyone else going to pick it up?

Gears Novel prep work.... Karen Traviss
Sun Aug 10, 2008 at 10:33:12 PM EST

I thought since Karen Traviss wrote the upcoming Gears novel I would see what her writing style is like and especially how she writes her character interactions. I picked up Republic Commando Hard Contact (the first in the series). I have not been disappointed so far she has a great style. I was watching her part in the Gears panel and seeing a older lady talk about "grubs" and chainsawing enemies was funny as hell. Great stuff I think this novel will rate up there with the Halo novels which says a lot because Nylund is a great writer. I know it was mentioned a few have read this series, what did you think? If you haven't read it then do yourself a favor and read it in the next few months
Unleash Your Force "Force's Gone Wild"
Thu Aug 07, 2008 at 09:52:38 PM EST

I'm a Star Wars nut have been since I was a kid. I was born when the originals were in the theater but have been a fan since I first saw them. Not many have been any good especially with Lightsaber combat so I have been watching this one closely. I think it actually might live up to fan standards. The combat seems pretty solid and going crazy with the force crushing Rancor's, knocking down Tie Fighters and blowing troopers from one side of the Star Destroyer to the other is something I have always wanted to do. I'm picking up day one, any other fans interested in crushing some storm troopers with the force?
So nobody has talked much about...

Well ok briefly mentioned not much discussion, Final Fantasy 13 is coming to the Xbox! I'm not a huge fans by any means but I like the Squaresoft games and enjoy a good roleplaying game. It's a big win for 360 owners and I'm excited I will buy it day one. Provided they don't cut content to fit on discs for the Xbox or change the quality. Fingers crossed it's a great win for us and holds me off buying a PS3 now.
Halo 3 Tonight?
Mon Jul 07, 2008 at 07:58:21 AM EST
So I haven't played with you guys in awhile and I'm thinking since it's Bungie Day and we can all download the new map and play a few rounds? Anyone interested? I don't have to much loaded for custom games but maybe I can jump on early and finish up one or two I've worked on. Around 8 eastern or if enough of you west coasters want to play we can jump on later.
Chrono Trigger for DS
Thu Jul 03, 2008 at 11:10:23 AM EST
Not sure how many of you guys have DS's but it was announced yesterday that Square Enix is putting it out on the DS. Pretty big news for fans, I never played the original but I'll play it on the DS. This game was made by the "Dream team" at Square back in the day, sounds like it could be a good experince. The splash site has no info yet but a countdown.....

Next weekend Vengeance for you!!!!
Sun Jun 08, 2008 at 07:02:59 PM EST
Ninja's run on fire next weekend beware. Kicking things off on Tuesday June 10th is the documentary Way of the Warrior which has interviews with Itgaki and experts on ninja's. Then when you play Ninja Gaiden over the weekend and you have registered your gamertag you are entered to win some prizes. You can also download a differant movie each day starting Friday the 13th (scary huh?) List courtesy of Xbox.com
-June 13 - Ninja Hunter: This Hong Kong action extravaganza is the story of a Wudang priest who makes a plan to rule the martial world after suffering a humiliating defeat at the hands of a student of Shaolin. A pair of martial arts fighters begins training in the Shaolin Finger Jab technique to stop the priest's evil plot.
-June 14 - A Life of Ninja: A Japanese Ninja master brings his unique skills to China, where he encounters one amazing fight sequence after another. Chao has to combat his powerful opponents with his miraculous fighting technique.
-June 15 - Ninja in the Deadly Trap: A trio of martial artists try to thwart the invasion of the King's castle by ninja warriors. The heroes must fight their way past this deadly swordmaster and his Ninja disciples if they are to rescue the General's son.
These all look like old movies worthy of watching. I watched a few clips from Youtube.com and they are old but have some good action it seems like. I know some of you are not a fan of the game but hey 3 classic movies and 1 documentary for free starting Tuesday, check them out.
