Is anyone else here a non-US Gearhead??

Hi all,
I have owned my 360 now for just coming up to 2 weeks, after failing to recover my old gamertag from my original Xbox as they wanted credit card details that i hadnt used for 2 years!. It presented me with a shock rebirth into online gaming.
First, where did all the pathetic racism come from, I am white and English yet experience so much race hatred. I remember in the early days of 'Live' when it was a real pleasure to speak to people all round the world, now it just seems that unless you play with just English people then you get a lot of crap thrown at you. That wasnt what it was meant to be like in Microsoft's online vision ( no surprises there then!) To be fair, I don't really let it bother me to much, but it did shock me at first.
Secondly, being branded a NUBE!. If you dont really know how to play these games you are screwed, as when i hit gears online and was matchmaked with other first timers, I was amazed at how stuck up the experienced gamers were, offering little or no advice, barking orders and showering abuse on them, because after all we are all out for number 1 arent we?? Surely every now and again can we not just take pleasure in a wonderfully crafted game that you can share with your mates and people all over the world, rather than just ticking off your outstanding achievements you have left to get!!. So i would argue, who is it that spoils the online experience? to many Nubes who just want to learn the ropes and enjoy it, or the abusive experinced players who just want badges!! As the old saying goes "There is no 'I' in Team.
