Longshot+Master Pre=skills

Tue Feb 27, 2007 at 10:48:58 AM EST

Last night was a hop on and get in a couple of rounds to stay fresh- Kryonn, Master Pre, Warchief35 and myself who Hosted and some others I cant remember ( sorry Im old ). It was a fun time and I have to say Kryonn is a very skilled player and from my point of view if you get in a one on one shot out with him end it as quick as you can nice matches Kryonn and if any of you have ever played with Warchief35 I tell ya I said to myself a number of times why wont this guy go down, he is a complete master of the shotty and it shows. And on the funny side someone fragtaged me and it was hanging out of my head like one of those novelity arrows I got a good laugh with that one. But I must say Master Pre impresses me with his true skill more and more, his ability to adapt to his team and the opposing foes is suprising.  We were on canals and I heard him say 'can I get the snipe' next thing I know the opposing teams heads are popping like pimples. Not just a lucky shot- I am not trying to build him up or make him feel special. I know alot of Gearheads have been on the short end of his pistol and wait till you see him with the long shot my advice would be to take cover, he told me hes still working on it (lol) he had 20 kills and a dozen were with the long shot. I do not want to see what he can do when those long shot skills mature. At one time he even got himself in a bind and accidently pulled out the shotty insted of his trophy pistol and hosed the rest of the opposing team. Nice work Master Pre and like I said before - TRUE SKILL

Connection Speed?

Thu Feb 22, 2007 at 03:16:56 PM EST

I know the connection speed for the game host is important, But would a faster connection speed help a player who is not hosting a match. I was told that your connection speed will move in waves with various high and low points. Do these High and Low points change the playability in a MP match. Macaface asked the question on consistency and I also am a player who sometimes is all over the place, even when teams have not changed and the matches are on a cycle. How do the rounds coming out of my weapons vary so much from match to match? I am not playing any different then I was last match. So is there something in the connection speed which drags you down and later raises you up a notch?
My conection right now is 1.5 Mbps, my provider offers up too 10 Mbps starting march first.
Would increasing my connection speed make my muti-player expierence more level and cosisitent?
If any one has any answers it would be great.
The jump in price is $40.00 a month

I made a pic for the fallen - enjoy - I also made a cog template in photoshop - It was for fun -but I still want to hear what the Gearheads think - I dont know if it could be used due to copyright laws- It was just an idea I had floating around in my Gearhead (and I have had a hell of a time trying to post it)

HD TV acting weird?

Tue Feb 06, 2007 at 05:24:24 PM EST

When I hook the 360 up to my HD GOW looks awesome... When I put in oblivion it looks pixelated and awful. The GOW details jump out at you. But I have to switch for oblivion cause it looks to bright and colorful and jaged edges poke out everwhere. Anyone else have anything like this happen or am I over looking something.
