Gearheads of War

I sorry but this diary isnt about gears or any other video game, but instead about me tryign to go to college. Over the past month ive been in the process of appyign for Georgia Tech to major in Computer Engineering and Programming (you know hoping to become teh next Bill Gates/Cliffy B.) Well anyway A few painstacking weeks, an crazy essay and trying to remember every detail of my high school career, ive finally completed my application adn have sent the beast in. Now all thats left is to wait and pray that they take me. I also hope i get a couple of scholarships from them., school aint cheap anymore. I hope 700 in math on the SAT is good enough for them too. Four years of hardwork and homework, becoming either 2nd or 3rd in the class, keeping a 4.0 gpa and 1370 on the reading and math parts of the SAT all come down to freaking letter that determines whethere or not my dream becomes a reality or a bloody nightmare.

Sry for the rant, but im scared and doubting, and hoping and praying about this thing.

I was cruising the PS Store where i stumbled upon the new trailer for the new Need for speed game called NOS Undercover. Now frankly ive not been to impressed with the last two. Most Wanted was absolutely amazing and i absolutely loved the game, but Carbon was no where close to the greatest of its predecesor. It felt like it was thrown together in a hurry. THen came Pro Street, once again an epic fail in my book, due to the fact that they altered from teh street racing and went with course racing which doesnt appeal to me. i loved the action with cops and the fun of knocking people off the black list and racing for pinks.

Uncover seems like its going back to its roots with the same style of gameplay at Most Wanted. THe trailer is absolutely beastly.

MIDNIGHT CLUB LOS ANGELES
Midnight club was one of the first racers that got me hooked to racers, the second one, which took place all over the world, like paris was pretty amazing. However i saw the new trailer and it looks like Grand Theft Auto. I know its made by rockstar, but come on, if i wanted to race on GTA then i could go online to do it. ITs got the same graphics, and i pray the cars dont handle the same. I want to know what happened the MIdnight Club that i knew and loved.  
I dont like the switch. What do yall think

Well i just called support, and apparently they now dont send a box to you, you have to get your own cardboard box to pack up the 360, adn send it ot them. I guess it does save time, but it still sucks cause now ive got to get a cardboard box.

So i dont know if anyones noticed, but i havent been on the site or online for the past 10 days.  I was out in Boston, MA on a leadership summit where i met people and made friends with people all over the world.

Anywho, what have i all missed i was scrolling through the recent diary list and there are hundreds from the past 10 days. So i was wondering if anyone could catch me up on the big news, ie Gow2 gameplay videos that i saw someone talking about. And the big E3 news.

now on the diary at the front page there is a lot of complaining about the sniper active reload downing of Gears.

Well, i hate being dwned by it, and i rarely ever dwn someone with it, but i know why it is incorporated into the gameplay, and i totally support it being in the game. I have a couple of points as to way epic put the sniper active to dwn people

First point- The ARs for other guns are more powerful than the regualar bullets so why cant the sniper be

normally the lancer takes almost a full clip to bring someone down, but with ar it barely takes half a clip to dwn him. The sniper does a lot of damage almost gives you a full circle of damage when shot. So anymore damage from an active dwns you.

Second point- without Ar you couldnt dwn a guy period.

 without active  for sniper it would take two regular shots to down someone, but by teh time you get your second regular shot, the guy you were shotting at has either A. already escaped or B. his heath has already regenerated so either way you lose

third point- sniper defense

if you have a sniper rifle and someone charges you, and you dont have time to switch to another weapon the AR has the ability to save your life. Someone shotties you in ribs, but miraculously you survive. what are you going to do, sit there like a bitch and go, oh well all i have is a sniper and you already shot me once so  you deserve to finish me off, and im just going to sit here and take it  NO!! you whip out an AR and dwn his ass so you live. simple as that

Fourth point- Can be used to save other lives

a locust is chasing dom dwn the street of gridlock the locust dwns Dom, and is sprinting to finish him off, you dont have time to line up a headshot, becuase he'd kill Dom first, so you can use an AR to take him dwn, and let dom get up

Fifth point- Ar are pretty cheap and id rather prefer to pop someones head off, but sometimes you need it.

Sry for the rant, but AR can be useful, and i understand whys its i nthe game

My question is what is Solid Snakes Eye peice? Is it a super genetic patch that he got because he lost his eye. Now im not so sure about that, because in all the screen shots i've seen he always has it on his left eye.

Now on teh gamespot page for MGS4 there are two pics where one he has the patch on his right eye and then another is on his right. The pics right next to the Name

So obivously it must be something other than Snake lost his eyeball, so again with the question

yeah SSB is the bestest wii game out so far and if i wasnt on the computer, adn my little bros werent playing i be unlocking everyone right now. Oh well 300 characters yheah

needless to say only one of those is a real one and that is broadcast, which if anyone remembers is the level inside the building with all the cameras and tvs and is in the campaign.

Broadcast has small hallways, a big center media room with cubicles and all. A center hallway with 2 floors, a roof and a parking deck with cars. So that means no heli or air strikes because 5/6 of the map is indoors.

This is the only map from the campaign. The rest of the new maps are brand spanking new, and has no connection at all with the campaign.

 The people at gamespot had a chance to preview and play two maps, broadcast and ravine. (ravine is a huge map with a ravine and houses, and a snipers dream map, where the ghillie  suit comes in handy)

The other 2 maps take place in Chinatown. I assume dark levels with lots of building and cool lights.

 Also there is a bonus map called Slaughter House, which there is no info available about it and aparently will stay top secret. heres the link

I sat here thinking and i thought man my faceplate is pretty bad, and i wanted to tell about it, but then a thought popped into my head. "Why not a diary where everyone takes pictures of their pimped out 360 if you have one."

Whether if all you have is a white 360 with a faceplate or if you've gone the extra mile and have customize your 360 from harddrive to controller ports, post your 360 here.

and we could even have a contest of who has the baddest 360, shooot i might even supply a surprise.

So take pics of just your faceplate, or your whole 360 and show them off to the whole Gearheads family.

Do for the braggin rights of having the most pimpin 360 on the web.

I dont have access to either pics or a camera while im at school, but i will post up pictures after my golf match today. That's right i am a straght up golfer.

However, there was a fear in me that Army of Two would absolutly blow because of who is making it. "cough" 'Ea' "cough" Ea hasnt really dont much when it comes to shooters. But thankfully they got their shit right on this game by pushing the release date back by a week or a couple of months. They updated it took out the bad and fixed everything else because x-play gave it a 4 out of 5 stars. Which really isnt that bad.

They compare some aspects of the game to a little game called Gears of War if anyone's ever heard of it. And they say that the story is really well told, adn might rivel the great story of Cod4. The story takes place with 9-11 and on an alternate reality of stuff with that. You also get to customize your weapons with anything from a shotty below your assualt rifle to a 5 foot sniper barrel, and you can even add bling to your weapons, such as gold,silver,adn platinum rinstones

Anyway, Army of Two was built from the ground up Co-op. You are either Salam or Rios and there are tons of great co-op manuvers which you can preform. Such as when one of your teammates dies you hand him your gun,  and have to drag you buddy to safety while he shoots with yours and his gun.

All in all i cant wait to pick this up. It is set to release tommorow. Sry for the rambling, and sry this isnt a amazing poem like Zoso's.

I Unwrapped it, and there was no game. I was like WTF.

I guess ive got to take it back, but my fear is that they wont believe me, and think that i just stole the game, and i am trying to rip them off. What should i do, if they refuse. Any advice.
