line conditioner

does anybody use a line conditioner/surge protection on your system? does a mid range unit(panamax or monster) actually improve the sound and picture through the filtering harmful fluctuations? im running dish box, elite, through a harmon kardon receiver to my dlp and it is fn outstanding. but could it be better?

What type of music best fits the action in mp
for gears?
I like to listen to heavy metal while playing. My brother recently turned me onto the 300 soundtrack which is quite different from my normal soundtracks yet very inspiring/ominous while playing. Im on the eternal search for great music while playing.

Trade in Value on 360?

Does anyone have a lead on any game store / or retailer that may offer trade in value on the 360 for the elite. I have a great desire for the hdmi connection to go 1080p. I currently can go 1080i on my dlp but am looking for that juiced resolution that 1080p will yield. Ideas are welcome.
For those who have 1080p, is the look and feel of the game more vibrant?
