man this game looks great should be one of the best games this year. i really like what they say about the enemy A.I. That they don't attack you unless you attack them. Graphics wise the game looks unbelievable looks better then gears to me.  I can't wait till this game releases. This game is truly next gen and something else the stranglehold demo is out tomorrow

this article basically states that if 360 sales don't pick up M$ will blow its one year lead in the console war.
   "So far in 2007, the news from the Xbox 360 front has not been encouraging," states the report. "If Halo 3 and other products fail to drive Xbox 360 sales, the system will soon flirt with numerous unsavory scenarios, the worst of which is the danger of becoming a distant third in the video game market share battle."

M$ is shipping far less units then the other consoles, ps3 with 4 mill, wii 6 mil, and 360 only 1 mill. So it looks as it M$ dosen't sell a lot of units the wii could catch up to them this year. This report comes after M$ recorded record losses this year.

A day after Sony dropped the price of the PS3 to $499, Konami's head of North American operations believes the cut may not be enough to turn the console's fortunes. As a result, Metal Gear 4 may go multi-platform he says.

"I wonder if Sony can win back user support by the price cut of just $100," Kazumi Kitaue told Reuters in an interview a day before the start of E3. "I don't expect a substantial impact... With $500, you can buy a personal computer."

The Konami executive added that Metal Gear Solid, which debutted on the original PlayStation in 1998, may go to other consoles as a result to recoup development costs.

"Since Metal Gear Solid was born for the PlayStation, we would like to keep it a PlayStation game. But we might have to take some steps," Kitaue said.

Konami is expected to release Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots for the PS3 in early 2008. To date, Sony has lost several once exclusive games to other platforms including Grand Theft Auto IV and Beautiful Katamari due to poor PS3 sales.

wow what an unlucky guy.  i can understand the system breaking once, but 11 times that is crazy, i thought my 5 times was a lot.  microsoft says the failure rate is in the 3-5% area well i think there lying.  I really think it is probably 5 times that.        I wouldn't release the real number if i was Microsoft either.  the 5 times it broke is basically the reason why i am not completely happy with the 360.  Plain and simple they made a crappy console good thing i like the games coming up and out for it or i would have got a new console by now.

Today a rumor has started that the much anticipated game which was previously announced on the Xbox360 and PC and later on the ps3 will be a timed exclusive on the ps3. More Details shall be unraveled at E3 this year."

it's been making its rounds on the web, and it's interesting alright. Forum-goer Xeoset on the Wii60 forums posted Microsoft's E3 '07 lineup which supposedly came from an E3 Floor Manager. (And yes, we've heard the "Oooh, someone's gonna get fired" reactions, but we'll be staying away from that.)

So what's on the list? We tell you, not all of
them make sense, so let's try and decipher what they must mean:

    * Microsoft start first at 6.30pm GMT+0:00. (Fact)
    * New Crimson Skies game to be announced.
    * Bungie working on new title/series not related to anything in the Halo/Marathon Universe.
    * Epic Games to show some form of Gears of War 2 Trailer.
    * Microsoft have bought the Star Wars Battlefront 3 rights. Trailer/Demo to be shown.
    * Rare to show off Banjo Kazooie 3 (Banjo-Theerie).
    * Rare to announce 2 new games.
    * Rare to announce Kameo 2.
    * Lionhead Studios show more of Fable 2.
    * Microsoft to fund a new game based on Jason Bourne. It'll be based on the books and not the film with Matt Damon.
    * Team Ninja to show off Ninja Gaiden 2. Labeled 360 Exclusive.
    * Apparently there's news of a MGS Game for the 360. May or may not be the 4th Installment.
    * Dead Rising 2 to be shown. May not be ready.

Did we read that right? Metal Gear Solid for the Xbox 360 which may or may not be MGS 4? Big news indeed, IF it's true. And a Ninja Gaiden iteration exclusively for Microsoft's console? Well, Microsoft might as well make its E3 appearance as grand as possible if what Gamecock says about this year's E3 being the last ever comes true.

But what of this "leaked line-up", if it's going to be another rumored list like that of Nintendo's? Nothing really, just the opportunity to say that "Yeah, we've heard about that" if some of these become true. Or maybe this is just another one of those "hyping the Microsoft presentation" so you'll be interested in what it has for the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) this year. You never know. Let's wait and see if this supposed Microsoft E3 line-up holds water.

E3 will be held on July 11 to July 13 at Santa Monica, California.

Ubisoft today announced the long-anticipated Assassin's Creed will be released across PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the PC this November.

Additionally, as is becoming the de facto standard these days, the company will also release a Limited Edition version of the game, set to retail at $69.99 with:

Dear Mr. Gates:

As you know, the Federal Trade Commission has repeatedly found that games rated "Mature" by the video game industry-captured Entertainment Software Rating Board are routinely sold to kids under the age of 17 despite the age rating. The most recent failure rate of the ratings on "Mature" games, according to the FTC, is 42%. The entire rating system is a fraud, and "broken," the latter description aptly provided by Senator Hillary Clinton.

As you also know, Lee Boyd Malvo trained on Microsoft's Halo to further enable him to become the remarkably efficient "DC Beltway Sniper." That was reported by NBC News at the time and was noted in Malvo's criminal trial.

You appeared on CBS' 60 Minutes II and rather revealing and usefully noted that "the cool thing about these games is that they transport you to a world you think is real." Precisely. Capcom has recently disclosed to investors that your video game industry's violent games, sold to children, pose a real hazard to the health of the industry. Right on.

The hyperviolent Microsoft Xbox 360 game Halo 3 is scheduled by your company for commercial release in September of this year. The Beta version that was released last week shows us all just how violent the game is and how inappropriate it is for play by anyone under 17, as the "Mature" rating it will surely receive indicates.

Here's the deal, Mr. Gates: Either Microsoft undertakes dramatic, real steps, through its marketing, wholesale, and retail operations to assure that Halo 3 is not sold, via the Internet and in stores, directly to anyone under 17, or I shall proceed to make sure that Microsoft is held to that standard by appropriate legal means. I have done that before successfully as to Best Buy, and I shall do so again as to Microsoft and all retailers of Halo 3.
